TEAM

Lucy Edwards

Lucy graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015 with a Master’s Degree in Osteopathy. Passionate about providing the highest standard of patient care, she has continued to expand her knowledge through postgraduate training in psychology, counselling, nutritional medicine, medical acupuncture, kinesiology taping, and rehabilitation using yoga and Pilates.

Her commitment to ongoing professional development allows her to offer a truly holistic approach to osteopathic treatment, helping patients achieve long-term pain relief, improved movement and better overall wellbeing.

Lucy believes successful treatment goes beyond simply relieving symptoms. She focuses on identifying the root cause of pain while considering every aspect of a patient’s health, including their lifestyle, nutrition, emotional wellbeing and movement patterns.

By combining traditional osteopathic techniques with her additional qualifications, Lucy creates personalised treatment plans designed to reduce pain, improve mobility and support lasting recovery. Her integrated approach may include hands-on osteopathic treatment, nutritional advice, medical acupuncture, kinesiology taping and tailored rehabilitation exercises where appropriate, ensuring every patient receives care that is completely individual to their needs.

I went into Body Mechanix barely able to walk and I left feeling like a totally different person! It was quite literally a miracle. Amazing. I will now be going to see Lucy regularly! They were a real life saver! Thank you so much"

Although Lucy enjoys treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, she has a particular interest in helping patients with neck pain, jaw pain (TMJ dysfunction) and shoulder conditions.

She regularly treats persistent neck pain, headaches related to neck tension, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff injuries and other shoulder problems. Her combination of manual therapy, rehabilitation and holistic care helps patients reduce pain, restore movement and return to everyday activities with confidence.

Lucy’s additional qualifications allow her to support patients throughout every stage of their recovery. Her knowledge of psychology and counselling helps her understand the important relationship between physical and emotional wellbeing, while her training in nutritional medicine enables her to offer advice on anti-inflammatory nutrition and lifestyle factors that may support healing.

Lucy welcomes patients of all ages and backgrounds, from teenagers recovering from sports injuries and managing postural concerns, to adults experiencing work-related pain or stress, through to older adults looking to maintain mobility, independence and quality of life.

“Lucy has been looking after my Dad and has been instrumental in picking up a potentially life threatening condition which has now been treated. She really has gone above and beyond and has given him his life back. I can’t praise her highly enough – she clearly goes above and beyond and really cares about her patients”
